Hotel Casa San Francisco is a small charming boutique hotel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Our guests enjoy not only the different atmosphere of our fully equipped rooms (A\/C, hot water, TV and cable) but also the delicious international cuisine of our restaurant Bocadillos, a tapas restaurant and bar, as well as the refreshing swimming-pool and the worthy views from our roof-top terrace.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We offer a range of rooms from comfy twins perfect for traveling friends, rooms with a queen bed and kitchen facilities and adjoining rooms which can be connected for family groups. The room including the bed was very comfortable, had much-needed air-conditioning for the very hot time of year I was there, and a good shower. Service is exceptionally friendly, with the staff very helpful in booking trips and transportation back to Managua. Breakfast is great, as are the rather lush grounds of the hotel. The owners are also particularly friendly and interesting people, involved in fantastic social projects in Granada. Finally, the location really can't be beat, right across from the Convento San Francisco and a short walk to the centre. The rooms were super cute and roomy, bathrooms large and well-appointed. hot water and an expansive shower. were cherries on the cake. Very nice restaurant downstairs with great tapas and happy hour specials. Met one of the owners, Terry who was very knowledgeable about the area and welcoming to both her property and Granada. I was originally planning on staying only 2 days and I extended it to 5, to give you an idea how much relished stay here. Already planning my next trip to Granada and plan on staying at Casa San Francisco again. Did I mention the super cute pool area and ivy-covered walls, mosaic tiles, and a cooked to order breakfast every morning; what a \"Gem\". The location is perfect! From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I was treated like a valued guest and friend. The room was cozy and comfortable, the bed was great with great pillows and bedding. The shower was great with hot and cold water. Wifi worked well. All of the outdoor areas were beautiful. The included breakfast was the best I've ever had - much variety and plenty of it - and fresh brewed coffee was waiting on the table. I didn't use the pool but it looked very nice, private, and clean. Very small clean, comfy hotel with all the amenities that a larger and pricier hotel would have! Hotel staff were bilingual to help those that don't speak Spanish. The restaurant menu offers many selections for your dining pleasure and at very resonable prices. The complimentray breakfast was excellent! The queen bed suite was very spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious too! We found this hotel very much to our liking and will be making this hotel \"home\" when we leave our home on the coast. My husband and I stayed in Granada for a few nights of our honeymoon. Here at this hotel we stayed in a beautiful room with a full bathroom and a nice little balcony for only $65\/night. There was also a small kitchenette in our room. The women at the front desk were extremely helpful and welcoming. They helped us to book some tours around Grenada. If you go for a visit, make sure to have them call their tour guide, Giovanni, and book a tour. He is AMAZING! He took us to see the Masaya volcano and we had so much fun on our tour that we booked him again for a tour of Los isletas the next day. (Highly recommend Giovanni's your of los isletas! It was our favorite part of our trip). Giovanni is friendly and so, so, knowledgeable about all of Granada and the history. He also took us to a cigar factory, which was super cool. If you get a car along , they have a person watching the cars (for extra charge) . - Great breakfast options every morning . - Amazing, amazing staff- super friendly , accommodating , attentive and make all the difference to the place. - Great with recommendations for things to do, tour guides to take and advice on ball park prices too. We totally enjoyed our stay here and were well taken care of. I have been lucky enough to stay at this hotel many times and it never disappoints . The staff are exceptional and provide all that is needed for transportation to tourist sites and will call locations to confirm reservations. The breakfast is amazing and I claim the best Greek yogurt I have ever tasted. Don't miss the Sunday eggs benedict. Nancy oversaw the renovation and construction of the project. During this time Terry was overseas working and collecting artifacts to create the look and feel for the\u00a0hotel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>When sisters Terry Leary and Nancy Bergman came to Granada, Nicaragua in 2002 on a vacation, they immediately fell under the spell of this historic city and within three days of visiting Granada they purchased the property that has since been transformed into the beautiful Boutique Hotel Casa San Francisco.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The owners are no strangers to foreign countries as they served in the US Peace Corps, Terry in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and Nancy\u00a0in Suriname, South America. As former volunteers they are both dedicated to development of tourism, staff and city programs to improve the quality of life.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since the owners are originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and the hotel is in the shadow of the Convent of San Francisco, it was easy to know that Casa San Francisco was the right name for the hotel. You will find that the hotel really feels like a \u2018Casa\u2019 as well. \u00a0A beautiful\u00a0home away from home!
